Gail “Daanis” Bressette is an Anishinaabe kwe from Kettle and Stony Point, she has been painting for twenty-five years and her work has been displayed nationally and internationally.   Her subjects include families, women, and children and she has been commissioned by various companies and organizations for logo designs and graphic art.  Gail has also illustrated children’s books and teaching materials.

Gail is a mother and grandmother and her paintings reflect her love of family, community and cultural heritage.  Her work depicts graceful women, dancers, and children; she continues to paint from the heart and hopes to do more work as an illustrator for children’s literature.
